We would like to invite you for a special event:

 Research Day on Intersectional Gender Politics

on Wednesday June 26, 13:00 – 18:00 Uhr, Altensteinstr. 48, Seminarraum 010.

We are planning on a schedule having each 20 min presentation followed by 10 min of discussion and there will be two coffee-breaks. Only-Listeners are welcome to join in.

You will have the opportunity to present and discuss your current work (ok to have work in progess!) in a small circle of friendly colleagues including our guest of honor Myra Marx Ferree, Alice Cook Professor Emerita at University of Wisconsin, Madison. She is currently local affiliate at the Minda de Gunzburg Center for European Studies at Harvard University.  Prof. Ferree is an expert on gender politics, she has published on intersectionality, German and US and global feminism, and women's movements. Her books include: Varieties of Feminism: German Gender Politics in Global Perspective (Stanford), Global Feminism: Women’s Organizing, Advocacy and Human Rights (New York University Press), Shaping Abortion Discourse: Democracy and the Public Sphere in Germany and the US (Cambridge) and Controversy and Coalition: The New Feminist Movement across Three Decades of Change.
