What lessons can be learned from the existing German Nuclear Waste Management Fund (KENFO) for generational capital? In the april issue of Blätter für deutsche und internationale Politik, Achim Brunnengräber and Albert Denk point out contradictions with regard to socio-ecological investment strategies and the composition of the controlling body. Although there are alternatives, such as a financial transaction tax or a higher wealth tax, the state is striving for a financialization - and thus depoliticization - of social welfare tasks.
