At the yearly Conference of the German Studies Association Prof. Thorsten Faas presented a talk on “Voting Age 16—Who Cares? The Effect of Eligibility on Political Interest and Knowledge of Adolescents”. The talk is based on a paper, where the effects of the political socialization on the young people, who go to vote for the first time, will be researched.

The talk and paper are part of Jugendwahlstudie 2019, a research study subsidized by the Otto Brenner Foundation in cooperation with Arndt Leininger (Freie Universität Berlin), Sigrid Roßteutscher (Goethe University Frankfurt) and Armin Schäfer (Münster University).
