Eylem Kanol hat an der TU Dresden (BA), Leeds University (MA) und FU Berlin (MA) Soziologie studiert. Er promovierte an der HU Berlin zum Thema Islamistische Radikalisierung. Er war von 2015 bis 2025 wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter an der Abteilung Migration, Integration, Transnationalisierung am WZB.
