Eylem Kanol studied sociology at TU Dresden (BA), Leeds University (MA) and FU Berlin (MA). He completed his doctorate at HU Berlin on the topic of Islamist radicalization. He was a research associate at the Migration, Integration, Transnationalization Department at the WZB from 2015 until 2025.
