How can we move faster towards “Zero Hunger” by 2030? Looking at SDG monitoring to improve policy making
Prof. Partzsch at Welthungerhilfe workshop
On September 18 and 19, 2023, heads of state will gather at the United Nations headquarters in New York for the SDG Summit. The aim is to review the implementation of the 2030 Agenda and to present high-level political guidance on transformative and accelerated actions leading up to 2030. On the occasion of this summit, Welthungerhilfe is organizing a series of (virtual) workshops to examine the implementation of SDG 2 "Zero Hunger".
The first Workshop is taking place today, on August 29th. After presentations by Dr. Leslie Lipper, Natural Resource Economist and Dr. Juliana Gil, Chief Editor of Nature Food, Prof. Lena Partzsch will share her research insights on political accountability for a successful implementation of SDG 2. Registration is possible here.
On October 19th, exactly one month after the SDG summit, a second workshop will deal with actions following the SDG Summit to achieve SDG 2 "Zero Hunger” by 2030, and which role Germany has in this regard. More information can be found here.
