Dr. Elisa Kochskämper
Habilitation Candidate
Dr. Elisa Kochskämper is an external postdoctoral researcher with Prof. Dr. Lena Partzsch. She received her PhD in political science from the University of Lüneburg in 2020 and has been working as a research associate (post-doc) at the Leibniz Institute for Research on Society and Space since the end of 2019. Since April 2023, she has also been working as a research associate for the EU Horizon Project "Decarb City Pipes 2050" at the Institute of Municipal Sciences at the University of Potsdam. From 2013, she worked as a research assistant at Leuphana University of Lüneburg in the research group Governance, Participation and Sustainability. In 2011/ 2012 she worked as a scholarship holder of the German Corporation for International Cooperation in the National Water Agency at the Mexican Ministry of Environment in Mexico City. She graduated in political science from Ludwig-Maximilians-University, Munich, and Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla, Mexico.
Her research focuses on urban climate change adaptation and sustainable and resilient transformation pathways. She has published in internationally recognized journals and was first editor of the monograph "Participation for Effective Environmental Governance: Evidence from European Water Framework Directive Implementation" (Routledge, 2018).
