The European Corsortium for Political Research (ECPR) hosted its annual General Conference at Charles University Prague this year. Prof. Thorsten Faas and Dr. Aiko Wagner from the Center for Political Sociology of Germany presented new research results at the five-day conference.

Thorsten Faas presented research he conducted with Prof. Gülay Çaglar and Prof. Miriam Hartlapp – also of Otto Suhr Institute: „You can represent the others, but you can’t represent their positions: Partisan effects on the link between descriptive and substantive representation.“ Further information on the paper is available here.

Two days later, Aiko Wagner and Thorsten Faas presented the paper „Electoral Integrity in Germany: populists, absentee voting, and a failed state election“ which they co-authored with Arne Carstens. Further information and the abstract are available here.
