Cooperation
The European Journalism-Fellowships are part of the International Center for Journalism at Freie Universität Berlin. The International Center for Journalism offers also the programme Journalists International (hitherto known as "Journalists from Russia"), which exists since 1999. Journalists International offers young journalists from the Independent States of the former Soviet Union the chance to study and work in Berlin for a period of three months twice annually.
In 2008 a new programme internXchange joined the International Center for Journalism, which startet in June. American journalist students and young journalists will be part of an intensive 11-week programme to foster intercultural exchange during their study and work in the German capital.
The international master programme in Communication and Journalism gives up to 20 graduates the chance to study four semester aware of free media, democracy and peaceful relations between the nations at Lomonosov Moscow State University and the Institute for Media and Communication Studies at Freie Universität Berlin.

Cooperation with the European Journalism Observatory (EJO)
Since 2012 one fellowship annually is earmarked for a journalist who would like to become a temporary correspondent of the European Journalism Observatory (www.ejo-online.eu), observing in particular recent developments in journalism research in Germany, but also the rapidly changing landscape of journalism and media in Berlin.
The EJO-EJF Fellow receives a monthly stipend of 1.100 € for the duration of 10 months.
