Lecture series "Journalism in Dialogue"
Well-known journalists give lectures as guest speakers at Freie Universität Berlin: They reflect on their professional field, the role of journalism, and its future. The events are organized in cooperation with mabb and ALEX Berlin as well as Süddeutsche Zeitung and Jetzt.
Journalism in Dialogue on the topic "Constructive Journalism"
On July 3, 2024, Dr. Tong-Jin Smith, Professor of Journalism at the Media University of Applied Science Berlin and Research Associate at the Institute for Media and Communication Studies at FU Berlin, spoke with Sina Schwerdt, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Plan B (ZDF), about constructive journalism, its characteristics, and how it works.

On 29 June 2020, the first television edition of the talk format "Journalism in Dialogue" was launched live at ALEX Berlin. Prof. Dr. Christoph Neuberger (Freie Universität Berlin) and Theo Koll, director of the Berlin office of ZDF, discussed journalism during the corona crisis.

Hajo Seppelt at CeMIL
Hajo Seppelt was a guest speaker at Freie Universität Berlin on January 13, 2020. Together with Claudio Catuogno (SZ) he discussed issues concerning doping, corruption and investigative sports journalism.
