On Monday, 3rd of July 2023 Dr. Joanna Nowotny will be visiting the seminar “Gender Media Studies” of Prof. Dr. Margreth Lünenborg. She will present a talk about the use of transphobic memes for different types of affective communitization. 

Dr. Joanna Nowotny is a researcher at Schweizerisches Literaturarchiv (SLA) in Bern. She studied german studies, art history and philosophy and achieved her doctoral degree in literatur and cultural studies. Her research focuses on digital and meme culture, comics studies and intersectionality research.
