The panel discussion with outstanding experts from political sciences, sociology and history will reflect on the current situation of research and teaching in North Africa. Regional and global events as well as current power shifts have a huge im-pact on the core questions within their disciplines and challenge research para-digms as well as established methodological tools.
What are the most important challenges to higher education in the respective countries? What is the role of foreign donors and Arab cooperation in dealing with these challenges? The event is part of the DAAD funded project “Dialogue and Asymmetries - Debating Development, Memory and Migration“.
