Debating European Democracy - Berlin 7 February
In the framework of the seminar „Democracy in the European Union" students of the Freie Universität will debate current issues on how to democratise the EU.
Topics are:
- Multi-tier Europe: Future or End of the European Union?
- More government, less governments? Expanding the authority of the EU to cure the legitimacy crisis
- Referenda: Opportunity or Threat for European Democracy?
- A European Army: A Way to a more united Europe? The debates will take place in the form of a debating competition. The public can intervene and address comments and questions to the discussants.
The debates take place with kind support of the European Commission Representation in Berlin in their premises
