Science Communication - Courses for Teachers and Trainers (SciComPed)
The SciComPed project intends to contribute to the training of specialists in Science Communication through shared expertise of a partnership of universities, museum based learning centres and professional organisations in three key areas:
- Science Media (web based or CD/DVD digital publications)
- Science Journalism (including printed and digital publications)
- Museum Education (presentation and pedagogy)
Knowledge transfer among British and German museums and universities as well as international associations of museum education and science journalism (providers of expertise) and their Hungarian and Slovak counterparts (adapters of good practice) will be facilitated through
- international workshops on methodology of science communication as training courses for teachers, trainers, cultural centre and museum staff
- compilation of manuals and handbooks on science journalism and museum education in science museums in Hungarian and Slovak languages
- development of educational portals with online teaching aids, information resources, collections of links to authentic resources
