Yes, it is possible to take courses from other departments and earn credits for them, provided that the lecturer of the external course agrees. However, you must first check with Dieter Ohr to determine if the course can be credited towards the desired module.

Please note that the lecturer decides which requirements must be fulfilled to pass the course. For example, if the lecturer requires a 5,000-word paper for their course, even though your MA Sociology curriculum only requires a 3,000-word paper, you must meet the lecturer's requirements.

At the end of the course, you must have the lecturer confirm your participation and grade on a certificate. Submit this certificate along with Dieter Ohr's written confirmation that the course will be credited to Module X to the PolSoz Examination Office. This will ensure that the course appears on your transcript.
