Gendered discourse in Parliament

After looking into how women and men speak differently in parliament, and how women's speaking style changes the longer they're in office we are currently collecting data on committee membership across 15 countries, to see how women's speaking styles is related to their political career progression.

Populist attitudes, with various coauthors

In different projects, I currently look at how populist attitudes are not connected to affective polarization across countries (with Alberto Stefanelli), what drives support for populist parties in conjoint experiments (with Fabian G. Neuner, Chris Wratil, and Kirill Zhirkov,) following our findings from here and a comprehensive overview of country- and individual-level drivers of populist attitudes across countries and regions (with Kirk A. Hawkins, Levente Littvay, and Eduardo Ryô Tamaki).

Political representation of disabled citizens

In multiple ongoing projects we are looking into the political representation of disabled citizens by elites but also their own perspective of feeling represented. The research focuses on by who and how disabled citizens are represented and if they indeed do feel represented by these actors.
