We would like to draw attention to a recent publication by Prof. Dr. Christian Calliess, Chair for Public Law and European Law, Freie Universität Berlin and Academic Member of the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence.

In "Zur Demokratie in Europa: Unionsbürgerschaft und europäische Öffentlichkeit", Prof. Dr. Calliess addresses the issue of an European Citizenship derived from Article 20 AEUV and tries to link it to the existence of an European public. More information is available here
