Right-wing populist parties take on increasing importance in Europe and pose fundamental challenges to liberal democracies. What causes can be identified and what are the political consequences? To what extent do populist parties formulate and mobilize socio-political alternatives to the "Liberal Script"? The event is organized by the Cluster of Excellence "SCRIPTS: Contestations of the Liberal Script" in cooperation with the Center for European Integration and the Center for Comparative Politics of Germany and France.
