Annika Jost studied Translation and Applied Linguistics at Saarland University. Both before and after successfully completing her degree as a certified translator in 2009, she worked there in various positions at an international level.

After spending time in the USA from 2012 to 2015, she moved to Berlin and worked as an Office Manager at the Institute for Social and Cultural Anthropology at Freie Universität Berlin from 2017 to 2022. This role was followed by a brief period in the private sector. However, the lack of an international focus there led her back to Freie Universität. Since January 2025, Annika has been strengthening the team of the International Relations unit under Professor Panke in the Secretariat.
