Theresa Zimmermann is pursuing her master degree in Environmental Policy and Planning from the Free University of Berlin and the Technical University of Berlin. During her FFU/TERI research stay in Delhi, she will be contributing to the Indo-German research projects FloodEvac and INVOLVE which focus on cultures of catastrophe and disaster vulnerabilities concerning inland floods. She will be researching how disaster policies and plans frame and construct disasters and vulnerabilities and if or in how far this differs from local perceptions. Theresa Zimmermann's special interests lie within political ecology, socio-natural relations and the effects of environmental policies on societies with a focus on South Asia.
