Harsh Vardhan Sharma is a student of MBA Infrastructure at Department of Business Sustainability, TERI University, New Delhi specializing in Energy and Finance. Harsh has been awarded with Deutsche Bank scholarship at TERI University for pursuing his masters in Infrastructure management. He is an Electronics and Communications engineer and has completed his engineering degree from Mahakal Institute of Technology, (Ujjain), Madhya Pradesh, India.
Harsh did his summer internship at a multi-line management consulting firm headquartered in India, called ICRA Management Consulting Services Limited (IMaCS). During his internship, he worked on a live project aimed at “Redesigning of Low Transmission Agriculture Feeder to High Voltage Distribution (HVDS) System’. The scope of work included analytical processing and validation of data obtained from Primary Research.
As a part of ‘German Indian Climate Change Dialogue’’ at Environmental Policy Research Centre, Freie University, Berlin, Harsh will work on the project – ‘’Barriers analysis for technology transfer from Germany: Policy level lessons for India’’. The broad objectives of the project will cover - What were the key policies and institutional interventions behind the evolution and development of climate change technologies (CTs – mitigation / green technology) in Germany? What are the key barriers at policy level for technology transfer from Germany to India? During the course of the project, Harsh will conduct interviews with the experts in technology foundations, corporate sector representatives, government institutions, environmentalist and NGO’s. Finally, the primary and secondary research results will be collated and understood to analyze present situation and gaps for deriving suitable policy recommendations for India.
