Mina Naeli has a PhD from the institute for media and communication studies at the Free University of Berlin. She holds her BSc in Management and Information Systems from the London School of Economics and Political Sciences (LSE), and her M.Sc. in Management and Information Systems: change and development from the University of Manchester, Institute for Development Policy and Management (IDPM). Her research interests include ICTs and social activism, e-participation, and Human factors in information Systems.

ABSTRACT
To contribute to the debates on social potentials of new information and communication technologies, the research provides first hand empirical evidence about impacts of the Internet-mediated communication on under-researched Iranian social activists. It concentrates on Women’s Rights Activism (WRA), among the most prominent and dynamic in the country.
