Tamer completed his Bachelor's degree in "Mass Communication" at Cairo University (Egypt) and obtained a Master's degree in "Global Communication: Politics and Society" at the University of Erfurt. After graduating in August 2022, he started working as a research assistant in the research project  „Media for Peace“ (M4P) at Free University Berlin.
