In the currently volume of Media and Communication Anna Litvinenko thematizes the concept of digital sovereignty, which has become increasingly popular in the past years in many parts of the world. Litvinenko reconstructs the Russian strategic narrative on internet souvereignity and its evolution over time. Based on document analysis and expert interviews she identified the main factors, that shaped the Russian idea of a sovereign internet.
