She has a Master's degree in Journalism from National Taiwan University and a Bachelor's degree in Advertising from National Chengchi University. She was granted a prestigious government scholarship from the Ministry of Education in Taiwan to support her Ph.D. research.

In her Master's thesis, she used qualitative methods to investigate how the media in Taiwan reported on a wrongful conviction case. In the upcoming summer semester, she will teach a methods class on Qualitative Digital Research Methods.
