Monographs from our collections can normally be borrowed for four weeks. This applies to books in the open stacks and the open access holdings as well as to those from the closed stacks. In exceptional cases, for example, if the borrowed book is in high demand, we reserve the right to shorten the period to two weeks.

Books from the closed stacks must be ordered via the library portal Primo and can then be found on the holding shelf. Books that have been reserved by users are also available there, as well as books ordered from other Freie Universität libraries. All media must be checked out at the circulation desk.
